Advisory Committee

Dechra's investors are advised by an Advisory Committee composed of Independent Committee members and Shareholders' Nominated Committee members. The Independent Committee members have sector-specific experience and are former or are current industry leaders.

The Advisory Committee comprises:

Sheri McCoy has been an Industrial Advisor to EQT since 2018. She has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare space and serves on various boards in the healthcare industry, including the boards of AstraZeneca and Kimberly-Clark.

Sheri has held the Chief Executive Officer position for Avon products with significant experience in emerging markets, experience in M&A and running complex global structures. Sheri previously served as Vice Chair of the Johnson & Johnson Executive Committee, responsible for the company’s pharmaceuticals and consumer business. Furthermore, Sheri has worked in MedTech and served as Worldwide Chairperson of Surgical Care.

Sheri holds a BSc degree in Textile Sciences and Engineering from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth; MS degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and MBA from Rutgers University.

Sheri is the Chair of the Advisory Committee.

Juan Ramon Alaix has 35 years’ experience of increasing responsibility in finance, sales and management, including 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He was Chief Executive Officer at Zoetis for seven years before retiring in January 2020. Prior to this Juan Ramon joined Pfzier Animal Health in 2003 as Regional President of Central and South Europe and was promoted in 2006 to President of Pfizer Animal Health. During Juan Ramon’s tenure as Chief Executive Officer, Zoetis became the global leader in animal health. 

Juan Ramon joined Pfizer from Pharmacia in 2003 as regional president. In the 1990s, he served in general management with Rhône-Poulenc Rorer in Spain and Belgium before becoming country president of Spain for Pharmacia in 1998.

In 2011, Juan Ramon was elected for a two year term as President of the International Federation for Animal Health (IFAH), the worldwide organisation representing the manufacturers of veterinary medicines.

Juan Ramon is the Chair of the Remuneration Sub-Committee.

Regis joined GSK in 2005 and has held various positions at GSK. He is currently appointed as President, Global Supply Chain, and is responsible for the manufacturing and supply of GSK’s medicines and vaccines. In addition, he leads Quality and Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability at a corporate level. Previously, he held senior positions at Sony, Konica Minolta and Tyco Healthcare.

Regis is a mechanical engineer and holds an MBA. Regis is a member of the board for ViiV Healthcare, a multinational pharmaceutical company specialising in the research and development of medicines to treat and prevent HIV/AIDS.

Regis is the Chair of the ESG Sub-Committee.

Arthur Higgins is an Operating Advisor to the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), a globally diversified sovereign wealth fund of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining ADIA, Arthur served as a consultant to Blackstone Healthcare Partners of The Blackstone Group from 2010 to 2021 and served as Non Executive Chairman of Assertio Holdings Inc. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Management of Bayer Healthcare AG from 2006 to 2010 and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Enzon Pharmaceuticals Inc from 2001 to 2004.

Arthur was appointed as a Council member of the International Federation of Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers (EFPIA) and has also served as President of the European Federation of Pharmaceuticals Industries Association (EFPIA).

Liz Doherty was appointed as a member on 29 May 2024 and Chair of the Audit Sub-Committee of the Advisory Committee on 20 June2024.

Liz has served as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Novartis AG since 2016. She has also served as a Non Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for Royal Philips N.V. since 2019 and of Corbion NV, since 2016. She was until recently an advisor to Affinity Petcare SA and GB Foods SA.

Liz has held various senior finance roles including CFO of Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC between 2011 and 2013 and CFO of Brambles Limited from 2007 to 2009. Prior to this, Liz served as Group International Finance Director for Tesco PLC between 2001 and 2007. Liz began her career in internal audit at Unilever PLC.

Liz holds a Bachelor’s degree in liberal studies in science (physics) from the University of Manchester. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts.

Liz is the Chair of the Audit Sub-Committee.

Michael Bauer joined EQT Partners in August 2009 and is Co-Head of EQT's Healthcare Sector Team.

Michael holds a master degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (lic.oec.HSG) and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Prior to joining EQT Partners, Michael worked as Investment Director at Capvis in Zurich (2003 to 2009) and in the M&A team at Credit Suisse in London (2002 to 2003).

Anthony Santospirito joined EQT Group in July 2022 and is a Partner in the Private Equity Business Line.

Prior to joining EQT, Anthony worked at Cinven in London. Prior to Cinven, Anthony worked at Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking Division, also based in London.

Anthony holds an BA in Mathematics from Oxford University.

Sebastian is a Senior Portfolio Manager in ADIA’s private equity team, where he leads healthcare investments in the EMEA region. He has served on the boards and advisory committees of Galderma, LGC, Dedalus and Kedrion. Sebastian joined ADIA from G Square in 2017, having previously worked as an associate in Rothschild & Co’s Healthcare team in London.

Sebastian holds a BA in Physics and Philosophy from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
