Dechra supports veterinary charity

This World Vet Day (26 April 2025), Dechra is thrilled to launch ‘One More Step for Not One More Vet’ campaign in our continued support of a veterinary mental health charity. 

Dechra is participating in the awareness and fundraising event - ‘Race Around the World’ for Not One More Vet (NOMV) – a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of veterinary professionals worldwide. 

This is the third consecutive year Dechra has participated on a global scale. It is the fifth year participating from the United States of America. 

As part of Dechra’s commitment to supporting the mental wellness of veterinary professionals, we’re inviting employees to get active during the month of May to join the awareness initiative. 

NOMV’s Race Around the World is an annual event designed to engage individuals across the globe in a collective effort to raise awareness for mental health issues in the veterinary field. Participants track their activities – such as walking, running, hiking, or biking. 

As an official race sponsor, Dechra is covering all its employee registration costs, ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to join and make a positive impact. The more people who sign up, the greater Dechra’s donation to NOMV. In 2024 Dechra raised more than $11,000 USD (£8,000 GBP) from the Race. 

The event encourages participants to embrace a healthy lifestyle while simultaneously promoting a cause that is deeply aligned with Dechra’s values. Last year, 754 Dechra employees from 24 countries participated in the race, and the goal is to exceed that this year. 

Kate Anatone, VP of Human Resources at Dechra US, said: “The mission of Not One More Vet resonates deeply with Dechra's ethos. Our partnership with NOMV extends beyond event sponsorship. In addition to supporting the Race Around the World, Dechra provides financial donations to support NOMV’s programming. We have collaborated on various educational efforts, including offering NOMV's wellness courses through the Dechra Academy learning platform and assisting in translating educational materials to increase their international impact.
